NAP Qualifying Game (Carman)
Saturday, August 07 2010, 1:15pm - 4:45pm

It’s time again to start the qualifying process for the North American Pairs (NAP).  The NAP is the ACBL’s premier “grassroots” national pairs event, held annually at the Spring Nationals.  This year the event will be held in Louisville, Kentucky.

Club level qualifying begins at the club level in June & runs through the end of August.  A player may qualify as often as desired and with as many different partners as desired.  Pairs can qualify for Flight A (2000+), B (under 2000) &/or Flight C (0-500 non life masters).  Club qualifying games award masterpoints at 50/50 red/black at sectional rating.

Pairs qualifying at the club level are eligible to play in the district final, usually held before the end of the year.  The District finals award gold masterpoints for section 1sts & overalls.  1st through 3rd place overall qualifiers in each flight at the district level qualify to play in the national finals at the Spring Nationals.  1st place receives $700 per person & 2nd place $300 per person.  The monetary award will be available on site.  Qualifiers must play in the national level event until eliminated to receive the award.  There will be no entry fee for the national level of the event.

Plan to play in the qualifying club games to earn eligibility to play in the district final for a chance to participate in the national finals at the Spring Nationals in Louisville.
